This SPDT relay / electromagnetic switch consists of:
Coil Terminals :: 85 and 86
Common Terminal :: 30
Normally Closed Terminal :: 87a
Normally Open Terminal :: 87

When the coil of an SPDT relay is at rest (not energized), the common terminal (30) and the normally closed terminal (87a) have continuity. When the coil is energized, the common terminal (30) and the normally open terminal (87) have continuity.

For easier wiring, we recommend adding a 5 pin relay socket harness plug when installing your relay. AutoLöc's 12" Relay Sockets are the ideal fit for the AutoLöc 40-amp relay. Simply plug the relay into the Plug n Play relay socket, and you’ve just saved yourself hours of wiring time.
